It was with so much pleasure i heard about MNP from TRAI. But when i started the procedure i understood the real fact behind it!!!
Send PORT to 1900, got UPC code.
Gave Porting application from Airtel to Docomo in docomo office.
After the... cut off date(7 days) when i contacted Docomo, they told, airtel not responding
When i went to Airtel office They told we cnat check any details in their site.Still they agreed it will get disconnected from airtel , i was so happy.
Got a call from Airtel guys for asking reason to shift, i told i am not happy with the roaming charges and their tariff plans and fed up with network issues.
Now after 12th day I called their customer care 5 times, all guys picking asking details, then telling we dont have any update abt his in our site, so talk to our managers. then put me on hold for 5 minutes then disconnect.

So simple fact. You cant shift using MNP so easily, you have some more procedures like Complain to TRAI against Airtel then wait for replies, then you get frustrated to peak, till you die, you won thave the number ported.
A big salute to TRA...I and AIRTEL.
BUT MY LAST WORD TO AIRTEL, "Guys u think i am a gold egg laying duck, but i am not a fool to keep charging. U know i cant change my numbers , but dont think its my weakness, i have another docomo number to call out and recharge, so dont expect i will recharge the bleady Airtel number again!!!"

Today around 8 time s i called to 198 + 121 and your executives disconnected my

And Airtel show room also was not able to give any explanation.

Where to complain? |
If you have a complaint about your telephone service, mobile phone service or broadband service, the first step is to call your service provider’s Call Centre on toll free number and obtain the docket number for registration of your complaint. Many complaints can be resolved at this stage. |
If you are not satisfied with the redressal of your complaint at the Call Centre level, contact the Nodal Officer of your service provider. |
If you are still not satisfied with the redressal of the complaint/grievance by the Nodal Officer, you can appeal to the appellate authority of the service provider. |
You may click the weblink provided below of your service provider to find the toll free number of Call Centre, contact details of Nodal Officer and appellate authority. So atlast I understood TRAI also cannot be approached for this, i need to contact airtel back !!!! |
